Crypto.com Live AMA Recap December 2020

The Crypto.com AMA, hosted by Maggie Ng who is head of marketing at Crypto.com took place on December 17, 2020 in the middle of bitcoin surging and setting record highs.

Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com was introduced and he began by pointing out some of the milestones the company hit during 2020.

They’ve increased their user base by more than five times
They’ve exceeded 5 million users
The company has grown from 250 to 780 employees
They have launched their MCO Visa Card program in Canada and the U.K.
They’ve become the largest crypto debit card program in the world
They launched their DeFi wallet
Their app is offered in 14 languages and 24 local fiat currencies

Then it was on to a big announcement and that was the launch of Crossfire, which is the companies’ mainnet dry run. They’re testing it out in a real world setting as this is the final step in preparation for mainnet before it’s released to the public officially.

Key focuses for the first half of 2021 were announced next which included:

The official launch of mainnet
Expansion of the lending business
Possibly extending a line of credit backed by your crypto.com wallet
A massive partnership that he was unable to talk about

He also is predicting more regulations and that the industry is certainly changing.

He then went on to take live questions.
